Results have been post  and details on printing out your certificate are on the 2015 Results page.

We wish to thank all our sponsors and local businesses for contributing to this event who can found on our prizes page.

The 2015 event was the ninth duathlon organised by the families of Tai Tapu Playcentre. It raises valuable funds to enable us to improve the environment our children learn in.

The duathlon is fully marshalled by volunteers and qualified first aiders are on hand.

New for 2015 a team option for both Short and Long Courses. Short Course: 4km walk/run + 7km bike Long Course: 7km run + 15km bike

Another great addition to the Duathlon:
Kate Luigtigheid from Pumped Personal Training ( ) has got on board this year to work with Tai Tapu Duathlon entrants and offer a series of 10 training sessions specifically designed for completing our Duathlon.

The sessions will start on Saturday 10 January and run every Saturday until the event. Kate will have a different focus for each session and will work on both running and cycling fitness and skills including how to transition well, gear changing, pacing through the event and much more.

Sessions will run for 1 hr and start at 8.00am at the Tai Tapu Domain.

Book in for all 10 sessions before 5 January and you will pay just $40. If you want to come casually to the sessions you pay $5 to Kate on the day.

Our non-competitive duathlon encourages first-time duathletes, as well as more experienced participants, by providing two courses to choose from. Both courses are mostly flat, with only slight undulations. A large number of spot prizes are awarded on the day, so anyone can end up taking home a prize, no matter where in the field they finish.

Entry to the 2015 event cost just $30, providing you with a low-cost sporting challenge, plus an enjoyable day out for your family, while raising crucial funds for our Playcentre. The starting gun fired at 10am, but participants had to first register, transfer their bikes to transition and then attend the safety briefing at 9:30am.

This family-friendly event has something for everyone:
• coffee cart - sausage sizzle •
• kids' playground - face painting - spot prizes •

This website should answer most of your questions regarding the event and entry is available online. If there's anything you're still unsure about anything, please email us at
